The best social media from Miami

It was a beautifully manic Miami weekend as Lando Norris stole the headlines by taking his first ever F1 win. The McLaren racer showed brilliant pace to beat Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, and his victory was certainly a popular one. But there was plenty more happening off-track out in Miami – here’s some of the best social media you might have missed…

Stars in the Sunshine State

The celebrities were out in force to soak up the Miami Grand Prix atmosphere, from pop stars, to movie stars and sports stars for good measure. The likes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce – NFL greats who are investors in Alpine – were in attendance, and musician Ed Sheeran enjoyed quite the weekend. Not only did he get to see his beloved Ipswich Town promoted to the Premier League, but he also got to hang out with some of the F1 grid.

And it wasn’t just F1 that had the celebrities' eyes - it was another stellar round for F1 ACADEMY who even had Charlotte Tilbury waving the chequered flag in one of the races.

A paw-some day out

Plenty of celebrities yes, but there’s no denying who the main social media star of the Miami weekend was. The goodest boi indeed!

No one’s safe from Fred

It may have been Norris and McLaren’s day in Miami, but that didn’t stop Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur getting in on the celebrations.

Eyes on the ball

Speaking of the Ferrari boss, he may also have proved himself a dab hand at American Football. Or at least when he comes up against former Haas Team Principal and F1.com columnist Guenther Steiner.

‘He’s great, he’s young, he’s attractive’

The Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler will have been a very happy fan on Sunday, or is that actually Lando Norris in disguise? The NBA star was seen in a McLaren shirt with ‘Lando’ written on his chest, though he didn’t seem too confident on his chances of fitting into an F1 car.
